Free introductory conversation
The first step
What happens in the free introductory conversation?
We get to know each other, discuss your planning stage and establish what support would be useful. You learn which task I can undertake for you. The introduction does not include individual design work, a professional review or a separate kitchen check.
Do I need to have a design already?
No. You can start with initial ideas. For a new build or renovation, existing floor plans and photographs are helpful. During the introduction, we establish what is needed for the work that follows.
Which support suits my project?
For a new build, the priority is often to consider the kitchen early in the floor plan. For a renovation, we look at the existing space and the changes you want. If your ideas are still open, focused initial guidance can prepare your next step. An existing design or quotation can also be independently assessed.
Rooms, planning and outcomes
Do you also plan spaces beyond the kitchen?
Yes. The kitchen and dining area can be considered together. Suitable kitchen furniture ranges can also provide solutions for utility rooms, pantries, dressing rooms, sideboards and living room units. The suitability of a range for each use is assessed as part of the design. We agree the scope and rooms to be included in advance.
What will I receive at the end of the consultation?
That depends on the agreed task: for example, a kitchen design, a reasoned second opinion or a clear comparison of layouts and materials. The proposal specifies which drawings, views, explanations and consultations are included before work begins.
Can I start with a single question?
Yes. Improving a layout, seeking a second opinion or resolving a specific material choice can be a complete service in its own right. A smaller task receives the same professional care as an extensive design.
Will I be tied to a particular kitchen studio afterwards?
No. You pay for independent planning and advice. The agreed results help you explain your wishes and decisions to the suppliers of your choice.
Fees and commissioning
How is the fee determined?
The specific task, design scope, required documents and consultation needs determine the fee. After the free introductory conversation, you receive an individual proposal with agreed deliverables and a transparent total price. You decide before paid work begins.
Why pay for advice when a studio initially plans for free?
In a kitchen studio, planning is often part of the eventual kitchen sale. Here you pay directly for independent expertise. The focus is a well-founded decision for your project, independently of the sale of a kitchen or a particular appliance.
What if I need more support later?
Further layouts, visualisations, appliance or material comparisons and consultations can be added when they benefit you. I explain the additional task and price. The extension begins only after you approve it.
Working together and responsibilities
Do you oversee ordering, delivery and installation?
No. My service focuses on independent planning and decision advice. You arrange ordering, delivery, installation and acceptance with the companies you appoint. Ongoing project management is not offered.
Are your design documents ready for construction?
No. The documents support the agreed design and your decision-making. Final dimensions, service connections and technical approvals must be checked by the responsible suppliers and specialists. Architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing design are outside the service.
How can I ask another question?
Send me a message through the contact page or arrange a free introductory conversation. Briefly describe your situation and the question you have in mind. You do not need to choose a service first.
Your own question
What would you like to clarify for your home?
Every project starts at a different point. In the free introductory conversation, we discuss your situation and find out what support would be useful.
